September 26, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5384 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1731 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4698 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Novavax Inc. (NASDAQ:NVAX), Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX), Procter & Gamble Co (NYSE:PG), Array BioPharma Inc. (NASDAQ:ARRY), Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX), WPX Energy Inc. (NYSE:WPX). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  NVAX $0.100 0.04% 14,178,565 37.69% 16,277,012 43.27% -2,098,447 Abnormal
  BSX $0.020 0.00% 1,858,565 25.15% 3,177,971 43.00% -1,319,406 Abnormal
  PG $0.090 0.00% 5,188,897 9.75% 7,483,064 14.06% -2,294,167 Abnormal
  ARRY $2.980 0.82% 37,119,878 36.81% 38,492,237 38.17% -1,372,359 Abnormal
  ABX $0.100 0.01% 2,689,128 26.01% 4,118,288 39.84% -1,429,160 Abnormal
  WPX $0.320 0.03% 3,818,488 25.38% 6,075,030 40.38% -2,256,542 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NVAX with 2,098,447 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.10000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
