September 14, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5607 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2517 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3366 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Monsanto Company (NYSE:MON), AstraZeneca Group plc (NYSE:AZN), News Corporation (NASDAQ:NWS), Gerdau S.A. (NYSE:GGB), Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT), Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (NYSE:HPE). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MON $0.430 0.00% 10,113,114 39.49% 7,795,477 30.44% 2,317,637 53,899
  AZN $0.360 0.01% 2,595,459 37.27% 1,158,393 16.63% 1,437,066 39,919
  NWS $0.070 0.01% 2,683,177 44.99% 1,330,490 22.31% 1,352,687 193,241
  GGB $0.020 0.01% 5,004,917 41.27% 3,546,445 29.25% 1,458,472 729,236
  ABT $0.150 0.00% 2,994,241 39.14% 1,782,466 23.30% 1,211,775 80,785
  HPE $0.190 0.01% 4,806,264 43.91% 2,013,366 18.39% 2,792,898 146,995
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MON with a Net Buy Volume of 2,317,637 shares and a Friction Factor of 53,899 shares. That means that it takes 53,899 more shares of buying than selling to move MON higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
