September 12, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5291 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4078 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2356 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Monday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Rite Aid Corp (NYSE:RAD), Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE:MRO), ProShares UltraShort S&P500 (NYSE:SDS), Freddie Mac (PINK:FMCC), Fannie Mae (PINK:FNMA), American Airlines Group Inc. (NASDAQ:AAL). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  RAD $-0.030 -0.00% 3,598,815 28.84% 5,398,065 43.26% -1,799,250 -599,750
  MRO $-0.210 -0.01% 5,073,352 26.89% 8,058,125 42.71% -2,984,773 -142,132
  SDS $-0.510 -0.03% 7,183,893 32.83% 8,655,774 39.56% -1,471,881 -28,860
  FMCC $-0.055 -0.03% 1,564,327 36.19% 2,754,791 63.74% -1,190,464 -216,448
  FNMA $-0.070 -0.04% 2,514,619 32.69% 5,154,972 67.02% -2,640,353 -377,193
  AAL $-0.120 -0.00% 2,997,541 25.31% 4,228,880 35.71% -1,231,339 -102,612
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows RAD down $-0.03000 with a Friction Factor of -599,750 and a Net Volume of -1,799,250. That means that it takes 599,750 more shares of selling than buying to drop RAD by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
