May 6, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. On Monday there were 3810 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2953 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2357 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM), Sprint Nextel Corp (NYSE:S), Mylan Inc (NASDAQ:MYL). Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction C $0.520 1.11% 10,805,729 37.54% 7,361,632 25.58% 3,444,097 66,233 BAC $0.660 5.39% 90,494,639 34.49% 80,484,701 30.68% 10,009,938 151,666 SIRI $0.030 0.83% 33,358,363 67.05% 16,393,101 32.95% 16,965,262 5,655,087 JPM $0.570 1.21% 8,314,873 40.26% 5,371,596 26.01% 2,943,277 51,636 S $0.050 0.70% 8,833,963 39.05% 6,085,226 26.90% 2,748,737 549,747 MYL $0.360 1.23% 4,810,038 72.55% 1,816,182 27.39% 2,993,856 83,163Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows C with a Net Buy Volume of 3,444,097 shares and a Friction Factor of 66,233 shares. That means that it takes 66,233 more shares of buying than selling to move C higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
