April 29, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3676 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3628 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1763 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. FX Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:FXEN), First Security Group Inc (NASDAQ:FSGI), L & L Energy Inc (NASDAQ:LLEN), China Recycling Energy Corp (NASDAQ:CREG), SemiLEDs Corp (NASDAQ:LEDS), Clearsign Combustion Corp (NASDAQ:CLIR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  FXEN $0.540 15.70% 526,213 55.47% 419,852 44.26% 106,361 1,970
  FSGI $0.670 20.30% 48,437 65.50% 25,507 34.50% 22,930 342
  LLEN $0.730 23.62% 1,027,410 51.65% 915,778 46.04% 111,632 1,529
  CREG $0.190 21.05% 300,228 64.93% 161,940 35.02% 138,288 7,278
  LEDS $0.480 27.27% 1,558,290 50.35% 1,536,713 49.65% 21,577 450
  CLIR $1.330 16.60% 239,770 56.17% 181,593 42.54% 58,177 437
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FXEN with a dollar gain Monday of $0.54000 and a Friction Factor of 1,970 shares. That means that it only took 1,970 more shares of buying than selling to move FXEN higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
