April 24, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3783 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3183 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2040 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. FX Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:FXEN), Cimatron Ltd (NASDAQ:CIMT), New Energy Technologies Inc (OTC:NENE), Real Goods Solar Inc (NASDAQ:RSOL), North Group Finance Ltd (NYSE:NOR), (OTC:OCTX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  FXEN $0.730 27.04% 963,373 56.86% 730,680 43.13% 232,693 3,188
  CIMT $1.100 16.42% 623,857 49.83% 615,164 49.13% 8,693 79
  NENE $0.280 16.47% 90,622 48.56% 70,516 37.79% 20,106 718
  RSOL $0.270 16.77% 575,893 53.61% 497,978 46.35% 77,915 2,886
  NOR $1.150 34.85% 767,810 36.93% 674,733 32.45% 93,077 809
  OCTX $1.160 22.75% 66,793 22.77% 43,716 14.90% 23,077 199
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FXEN with a dollar gain Wednesday of $0.73000 and a Friction Factor of 3,188 shares. That means that it only took 3,188 more shares of buying than selling to move FXEN higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
