March 26, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 3885 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3090 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2278 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Quicksilver Resources Inc (NYSE:KWK), Independent Bank Corp (NASDAQ:IBCP), Opexa Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:OPXA), Appalaches Resources Inc (AMEX:APP), LogMeIn Inc (NASDAQ:LOGM), SemiLEDs Corp (NASDAQ:LEDS). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  KWK $0.240 10.81% 1,501,297 38.91% 1,381,193 35.80% 120,104 5,004
  IBCP $0.910 13.64% 168,863 61.32% 103,019 37.41% 65,844 724
  OPXA $0.490 23.22% 2,812,681 54.21% 2,375,990 45.79% 436,691 8,912
  APP $0.270 12.86% 1,437,925 37.76% 1,205,292 31.65% 232,633 8,616
  LOGM $3.480 19.57% 787,427 54.56% 622,434 43.13% 164,993 474
  LEDS $0.410 32.03% 1,140,761 56.43% 880,720 43.57% 260,041 6,342
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows KWK with a dollar gain Tuesday of $0.24000 and a Friction Factor of 5,004 shares. That means that it only took 5,004 more shares of buying than selling to move KWK higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
