March 25, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3987 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2038 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3351 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. WELLS FARGO & COMPANY (NYSE:WFC), CADENCE DESIGN SYSTEMS, INC. (NASDAQ:CDNS), Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN), Federal National Mortgage Association Fannie Mae (OTC:FNMAS), AMBAC FINANCIAL GROUP INC (OTC:ABKFQ), (OTC:FITX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  WFC $0.010 0.03% 7,736,159 38.29% 5,207,775 25.78% 2,528,384 2,528,384
  CDNS $0.300 2.25% 4,104,107 67.40% 1,985,010 32.60% 2,119,097 70,637
  GRPN $0.280 4.88% 11,429,343 54.97% 9,357,358 45.00% 2,071,985 73,999
  FNMAS $0.100 3.17% 3,526,987 36.67% 1,480,481 15.39% 2,046,506 204,651
  ABKFQ $0.033 23.24% 9,210,445 58.27% 6,549,004 41.43% 2,661,441 806,497
  FITX $0.010 179.31% 117,166,693 54.74% 96,860,738 45.26% 20,305,955 19,524,957
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows WFC with a Net Buy Volume of 2,528,384 shares and a Friction Factor of 2,528,384 shares. That means that it takes 2,528,384 more shares of buying than selling to move WFC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
