March 25, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3987 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2038 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3351 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Comcast Corp (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F), Safeway Inc (NYSE:SWY), SK3 GROUP INC (OTC:SKTO), Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp (OTC:FMCKJ), Apps Genius Corp (OTC:APGS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CMCSA $0.490 1.19% 8,878,158 40.75% 12,790,704 58.71% -3,912,546 Abnormal
  F $0.050 0.38% 7,081,339 26.07% 9,308,851 34.28% -2,227,512 Abnormal
  SWY $0.090 0.35% 1,339,560 23.36% 2,989,664 52.14% -1,650,104 Abnormal
  SKTO $0.015 31.81% 37,721,799 45.44% 45,300,502 54.56% -7,578,703 Abnormal
  FMCKJ $0.160 5.18% 1,042,344 13.84% 3,273,404 43.45% -2,231,060 Abnormal
  APGS $0.018 300.00% 5,278,710 43.97% 6,727,257 56.03% -1,448,547 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CMCSA with 3,912,546 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.49000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
