According to Recent Aon Hewitt Study: Videotron Ranked by Employees as One of Quebec's 20 Best Employers

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - March 15, 2013) - Telecommunications leader Videotron is proud to have made the latest list of Québec's top 20 employers, according to a recent Aon Hewitt study on employee engagement.

"We are very proud to be among Québec's employers of choice," said Robert Dépatie, President and CEO of Videotron. "It is concrete proof that our dedication to constantly improving our ways of doing things and our employees' daily lives is paying off. We fully intend to continue down the same road by building on the relationship of trust among our managers, employees and customers."

A tribute to local talent

Videotron is a local company that employs 6,000 Quebecers with a shared passion for serving Quebecers. Their palpable daily determination to constantly exceed expectations has now lifted Videotron to the ranks of Québec's employers of choice. The recognition vindicates the approach Videotron has pursued for 50 years: carrying out innovative projects by harnessing the creativity and know-how of Quebecers.

This is the third distinction for Videotron in a few months. In December 2012, Videotron was rated as Québec's top communications retailer. On March 8, 2013, it was named the most respected telecommunications company in Québec for the eighth consecutive year. These honours reflect Videotron's commitment to offering its employees and customers alike the best possible experience.

The latest recognition from Aon Hewitt's human resources division is based on a large-scale survey of major Canadian companies that measured employees' attachment to their organization. Managers and employees were asked about their opinion of their employer, their desire to stay with the company and their level of motivation.

An economic driver for Québec

Videotron has long been a driver of economic growth across Québec. Over the past 10 years, it has created more than 4,200 jobs, including more than 2,000 since it entered the mobile industry in 2009. Videotron competes in a high-tech industry relying entirely on local expertise.

Videotron ([ www.videotron.com ]), a wholly owned subsidiary of Quebecor Media Inc., is an integrated communications company engaged in cable television, interactive multimedia development, and Internet access, cable telephone and mobile telephone services. Videotron is a leader in new technologies with its interactive Digital TV service and its broadband network, which supports high-speed cable Internet access, analog and digital cable television, and other services.
