March 1, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3978 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2678 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2482 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), Radian Group Inc (NYSE:RDN), Yahoo! Inc (NASDAQ:YHOO), Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN), Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp (OTC:FMCKJ), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BAC $0.090 0.80% 56,894,059 32.73% 53,427,173 30.73% 3,466,886 385,210
  RDN $0.210 2.36% 8,087,035 42.91% 5,898,485 31.30% 2,188,550 104,217
  YHOO $0.570 2.70% 17,945,114 53.23% 15,435,515 45.79% 2,509,599 44,028
  GRPN $0.610 13.47% 41,529,407 66.77% 25,139,273 40.42% 16,390,134 268,691
  FMCKJ $0.015 0.68% 6,617,773 46.23% 1,280,891 8.95% 5,336,882 3,557,921
  QQQ $0.320 0.48% 17,084,892 54.34% 14,315,061 45.53% 2,769,831 86,557
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with a Net Buy Volume of 3,466,886 shares and a Friction Factor of 385,210 shares. That means that it takes 385,210 more shares of buying than selling to move BAC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
