February 5, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4009 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3417 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2010 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), General Electric Co (NYSE:GE), Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), News Corp (NASDAQ:NWSA), Cannabis Science Inc (OTC:CBIS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  DELL $0.130 0.98% 138,642,983 48.36% 149,010,357 51.98% -10,367,374 Abnormal
  BAC $0.430 3.75% 61,392,660 32.76% 69,911,511 37.30% -8,518,851 Abnormal
  GE $0.240 1.08% 7,836,346 25.35% 11,562,825 37.40% -3,726,479 Abnormal
  MS $0.530 2.32% 7,083,488 29.67% 10,151,200 42.52% -3,067,712 Abnormal
  NWSA $0.480 1.70% 9,441,676 42.08% 12,986,291 57.88% -3,544,615 Abnormal
  CBIS $0.015 16.06% 30,635,726 43.20% 40,226,957 56.73% -9,591,231 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Tuesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DELL with 10,367,374 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.13000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
