December 19, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4042 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2681 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2928 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. General Motors Co (NYSE:GM), Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MU), Cemex SAB de CV (NYSE:CX), Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras (NYSE:PBR), SMITH & WESSON HOLDING CORPORATION (NASDAQ:SWHC), Alterra Capital Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:ALTE). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  GM $1.660 6.51% 19,240,819 35.18% 17,012,721 31.11% 2,228,098 13,422
  MU $0.120 1.79% 13,657,996 53.80% 11,744,629 46.26% 1,913,367 159,447
  CX $0.260 2.67% 5,297,182 38.77% 3,388,264 24.80% 1,908,918 73,420
  PBR $0.670 3.45% 9,152,240 33.42% 7,652,350 27.94% 1,499,890 22,386
  SWHC $0.590 7.57% 9,820,833 54.06% 8,308,927 45.73% 1,511,906 25,626
  ALTE $5.200 22.46% 6,552,269 54.58% 5,127,299 42.71% 1,424,970 2,740
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GM with a Net Buy Volume of 2,228,098 shares and a Friction Factor of 13,422 shares. That means that it takes 13,422 more shares of buying than selling to move GM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
