November 12, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4034 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2337 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3094 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Nano Labs Corp (OTC:CTLE), GILEAD SCIENCES, INC. (NASDAQ:GILD), Pizza Inn Inc (NASDAQ:PZZI), Consumer Portfolio Services Inc (NASDAQ:CPSS), Save The World Air Inc (OTCBB:ZERO), (OTCBB:RBCC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CTLE $0.150 17.65% 261,848 64.11% 146,599 35.89% 115,249 7,683
  GILD $8.830 13.58% 15,440,292 50.51% 13,787,755 45.10% 1,652,537 1,872
  PZZI $0.550 20.91% 73,000 70.35% 30,769 29.65% 42,231 768
  CPSS $0.490 14.00% 80,397 70.36% 33,871 29.64% 46,526 950
  ZERO $0.150 16.48% 196,428 55.31% 104,552 29.44% 91,876 6,125
  RBCC $0.260 22.39% 29,182 38.10% 27,402 35.77% 1,780 68
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CTLE with a dollar gain Monday of $0.15000 and a Friction Factor of 7,683 shares. That means that it only took 7,683 more shares of buying than selling to move CTLE higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
