Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction TASR $1.710 26.76% 3,210,369 52.47% 2,893,773 47.29% 316,596 1,851 N $8.490 14.92% 748,435 34.36% 721,325 33.11% 27,110 32 DV $5.420 26.03% 2,771,064 32.95% 2,487,853 29.58% 283,211 523 EXPE $7.730 15.08% 6,649,369 50.36% 6,499,566 49.23% 149,803 194 WBMD $1.970 14.64% 1,215,010 55.40% 971,871 44.32% 243,139 1,234 CALX $0.950 16.10% 415,941 31.30% 382,969 28.82% 32,972 347Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows TASR with a dollar gain Friday of $1.71000 and a Friction Factor of 1,851 shares. That means that it only took 1,851 more shares of buying than selling to move TASR higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
