October 17, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3983 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3333 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1981 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Wednesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. NUTRA PHARMA CORP (OTC:NPHC), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), ASML Holding NV (NASDAQ:ASML), New Frontier Media Inc (NASDAQ:NOOF), Oracle Corp (NASDAQ:ORCL), Vanguard Long Term Corporate Bond Etf (NASDAQ:VCLT). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  NPHC $-0.020 -43.59% 373,901 19.44% 1,549,284 80.56% -1,175,383 -587,692
  BAC $-0.040 -0.42% 73,645,521 32.25% 80,743,246 35.35% -7,097,725 -1,774,431
  ASML $-3.780 -7.05% 8,887,358 38.23% 10,207,119 43.91% -1,319,761 -3,491

  VCLT $-1.200 -1.27% 428,367 13.14% 2,830,726 86.86% -2,402,359 -20,020
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NPHC down $-0.02000 with a Friction Factor of -587,692 and a Net Volume of -1,175,383. That means that it takes 587,692 more shares of selling than buying to drop NPHC by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
