September 27, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. On Thursday there were 4039 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3722 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1826 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE), Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C), Nokia Oyj (NYSE:NOK), Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), AT&T Inc (NYSE:T), Mylan Inc (NASDAQ:MYL). Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction PFE $0.130 0.53% 8,777,123 38.48% 6,374,534 27.95% 2,402,589 184,815 C $0.460 1.41% 13,034,950 41.05% 9,020,917 28.41% 4,014,033 87,262 NOK $0.070 2.70% 12,170,374 40.03% 9,386,479 30.87% 2,783,895 397,699 SIRI $0.080 3.20% 47,129,149 60.98% 32,106,158 41.54% 15,022,991 1,877,874 T $0.040 0.10% 8,107,856 28.71% 5,729,466 20.29% 2,378,390 594,598 MYL $0.280 1.17% 3,404,000 69.60% 1,452,775 29.70% 1,951,225 69,687Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows PFE with a Net Buy Volume of 2,402,589 shares and a Friction Factor of 184,815 shares. That means that it takes 184,815 more shares of buying than selling to move PFE higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
