August 22, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4178 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2111 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3210 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Cemex SAB de CV (NYSE:CX), International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT), Sunrise Senior Living Inc (NYSE:SRZ), Seagate Technology PLC (NASDAQ:STX), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ), Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CX $0.330 4.20% 16,711,685 38.00% 12,104,236 27.53% 4,607,449 139,620
  IGT $0.130 1.10% 5,301,688 53.12% 1,897,095 19.01% 3,404,593 261,892
  SRZ $5.300 59.35% 35,499,979 43.40% 33,368,111 40.79% 2,131,868 4,022
  STX $0.430 1.24% 7,811,991 59.54% 5,209,912 39.70% 2,602,079 60,513
  QQQ $0.250 0.37% 20,434,344 45.86% 18,234,316 40.92% 2,200,028 88,001
  ZNGA $0.330 11.11% 20,900,360 52.78% 18,550,811 46.84% 2,349,549 71,198
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CX with a Net Buy Volume of 4,607,449 shares and a Friction Factor of 139,620 shares. That means that it takes 139,620 more shares of buying than selling to move CX higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
