August 10, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4111 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2750 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2791 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Bottomline Technologies DE Inc (NASDAQ:EPAY), 51job Inc (NASDAQ:JOBS), Houston American Energy Corp (AMEX:HUSA), Augme Technologies Inc (OTC:AUGT), eMagin Corp (AMEX:EMAN), China Jo Jo Drugstores Inc (NASDAQ:CJJD). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EPAY $4.020 20.15% 408,824 50.67% 388,286 48.12% 20,538 51
  JOBS $7.400 20.31% 189,089 49.99% 181,913 48.09% 7,176 10
  HUSA $0.320 37.85% 257,255 38.76% 239,181 36.04% 18,074 565
  AUGT $0.240 16.22% 323,791 56.41% 250,205 43.59% 73,586 3,066
  EMAN $0.520 17.28% 87,834 30.72% 87,211 30.51% 623 12
  CJJD $0.250 32.89% 223,595 78.34% 61,815 21.66% 161,780 6,471
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EPAY with a dollar gain Friday of $4.02000 and a Friction Factor of 51 shares. That means that it only took 51 more shares of buying than selling to move EPAY higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
