August 8, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4185 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2590 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2625 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), Sprint Nextel Corp (NYSE:S), Alcoa Inc (NYSE:AA), Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F), Firesteel Resources Inc (NASDAQ:FTR), Federal National Mortgage Association (OTC:FNMA). SIRI $0.140 6.09% 176,108,591 54.32% 147,846,882 45.60% 28,261,709 2,018,694
  S $0.320 7.42% 26,011,073 36.00% 23,097,809 31.97% 2,913,264 91,040
  AA $0.200 2.33% 6,992,173 33.00% 4,934,183 23.28% 2,057,990 102,900
  F $0.030 0.32% 8,443,251 37.45% 6,608,557 29.31% 1,834,694 611,565
  FTR $0.060 1.33% 6,607,045 61.07% 4,195,086 38.78% 2,411,959 401,993
  FNMA $0.013 4.48% 11,739,246 54.61% 9,720,836 45.22% 2,018,410 1,552,623
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SIRI with a Net Buy Volume of 28,261,709 shares and a Friction Factor of 2,018,694 shares. That means that it takes 2,018,694 more shares of buying than selling to move SIRI higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
