July 16, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3938 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2211 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3045 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE), IAC/InterActivecorp (NASDAQ:IACI), Wall Financial Corp (NYSE:WFC), Sprint Nextel Corp (NYSE:S), Anthera Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:ANTH), Silver Falcon Mining Inc (OTC:SFMI). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  PFE $0.310 1.36% 9,690,717 33.61% 8,482,455 29.42% 1,208,262 38,976
  IACI $0.950 2.05% 1,982,443 83.98% 358,011 15.17% 1,624,432 17,099
  WFC $0.110 0.32% 8,705,462 29.83% 7,460,229 25.56% 1,245,233 113,203
  S $0.130 3.90% 21,250,370 35.72% 18,401,237 30.93% 2,849,133 219,164
  ANTH $0.610 85.84% 12,854,631 55.62% 10,252,943 44.36% 2,601,688 42,651
  SFMI $0.012 32.28% 3,072,604 62.02% 1,881,765 37.98% 1,190,839 976,098
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PFE with a Net Buy Volume of 1,208,262 shares and a Friction Factor of 38,976 shares. That means that it takes 38,976 more shares of buying than selling to move PFE higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
