July 11, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3839 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2221 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2979 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Nokia Oyj (NYSE:NOK), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), General Electric Co (NYSE:GE), Sprint Nextel Corp (NYSE:S), Atmel Corp (NASDAQ:ATML), Advanced Cell Technology Inc (OTCBB:ACTC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  NOK $0.090 5.00% 18,014,544 35.39% 15,545,953 30.54% 2,468,591 274,288
  BAC $0.140 1.87% 40,101,320 31.49% 38,333,318 30.10% 1,768,002 126,286
  GE $0.060 0.31% 15,755,615 37.13% 11,237,407 26.49% 4,518,208 753,035
  S $0.010 0.31% 12,486,904 40.74% 9,102,154 29.70% 3,384,750 3,384,750
  ATML $0.260 4.27% 3,864,891 58.95% 2,687,768 41.00% 1,177,123 45,274
  ACTC $0.015 21.48% 9,429,719 65.43% 4,983,052 34.57% 4,446,667 3,066,667
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NOK with a Net Buy Volume of 2,468,591 shares and a Friction Factor of 274,288 shares. That means that it takes 274,288 more shares of buying than selling to move NOK higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
