July 10, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. On Tuesday there were 3723 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1861 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3502 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction TLAB $0.030 0.85% 3,019,647 58.17% 2,165,119 41.71% 854,528 284,843 EMC $0.010 0.06% 4,772,733 29.66% 3,925,457 24.39% 847,276 847,276 AMLN $0.110 0.36% 6,425,167 55.48% 5,155,404 44.52% 1,269,763 115,433 ARNA $0.400 3.49% 17,921,922 51.24% 17,016,621 48.65% 905,301 22,633 RSG $0.420 1.62% 3,141,809 60.89% 752,159 14.58% 2,389,650 56,896 CFRUY $0.060 1.15% 4,515,012 64.17% 2,516,855 35.77% 1,998,157 333,026Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows TLAB with a Net Buy Volume of 854,528 shares and a Friction Factor of 284,843 shares. That means that it takes 284,843 more shares of buying than selling to move TLAB higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
