July 10, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 3723 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1861 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3502 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Mdu Communications International Inc (OTC:MDTV), A. Schulman Inc (NASDAQ:SHLM), City Telecom (HK) Ltd (NASDAQ:CTEL), Origin Agritech Ltd (NASDAQ:SEED), BioMimetic Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:BMTI), Aercap Holdings NV (NYSE:AER). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MDTV $0.635 72.47% 63,970 42.94% 41,688 27.98% 22,282 351
  SHLM $2.140 10.57% 285,706 52.13% 255,901 46.69% 29,805 139
  CTEL $0.480 13.99% 236,283 51.47% 221,422 48.23% 14,861 310
  SEED $0.290 19.77% 644,681 54.62% 535,587 45.38% 109,094 3,762
  BMTI $0.670 23.93% 947,540 54.87% 767,967 44.47% 179,573 2,680
  AER $1.330 11.93% 548,868 33.39% 482,372 29.35% 66,496 500
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MDTV with a dollar gain Tuesday of $0.63450 and a Friction Factor of 351 shares. That means that it only took 351 more shares of buying than selling to move MDTV higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
