July 9, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3589 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2260 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2933 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. BSD Medical Corp (NASDAQ:BSDM), James River Coal Co (NASDAQ:JRCC), Amyris Inc (NASDAQ:AMRS), A123 Systems Inc (NASDAQ:AONE), DIANE MINES LTD (OTC:DIMI), Tronox Inc (OTC:TROX). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BSDM $-0.210 -13.64% 129,969 39.95% 193,959 59.62% -63,990 -3,047
  JRCC $-0.740 -20.90% 1,429,708 42.84% 1,897,854 56.86% -468,146 -6,326
  AMRS $-0.440 -11.99% 347,576 42.25% 472,133 57.39% -124,557 -2,831
  AONE $-0.130 -11.21% 1,666,215 40.42% 2,456,496 59.58% -790,281 -60,791
  DIMI $-0.450 -25.00% 140,522 20.84% 218,716 32.44% -78,194 -1,738
  TROX $-22.530 -17.62% 138,741 31.14% 184,867 41.49% -46,126 -20
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BSDM with a dollar loss Monday of $-0.21000 and a Friction Factor of -3,047 shares. That means that it only took 3,047 more shares of selling than buying to move BSDM lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
