MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - June 21, 2012) - For the sixth consecutive year, Videotron is taking to the streets to entertain festival-goers at the Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs Festival. For the event's 30th year, to be held from July 12 to 28, 2012, Videotron is again an official sponsor and partner. As befits a telecommunications and entertainment leader, Videotron will set up activity stands in the streets of Montréal during the Festival and offer a variety of humorous content, available from any location.

Comedy buffs will be able to visit the Salon illico télé nouvelle génération to experience illico TV new generation and navigate the intuitive new user-friendly service in life-size mock living rooms. Laptop computers and mobile devices will be made available to passers-by to access Just for Laughs content on illico web and illico mobile over Videotron's powerful 4G network. A Wi-Fi zone will also be set up for visitors who want to connect to the Internet on their own devices.

Year-round laughs on Indigo and illico

Thanks to Videotron, the Festival now happens every day of the year in every part of Québec. The Galas Vidéotron Juste pour rire starring Stéphan Bureau, Laurent Paquin, Rachid Badouri and Éric Salvail and the Jean-Marc Parent event will all be broadcast live on Indigo and available the next day on illico TV, illico web and illico mobile, along with the shows featuring Stéphane Rousseau, Mike Ward, Gregory Charles and the comedy trio of Cathy Gauthier, Dominic Paquet and Philippe Laprise. Other droll events, such as Juste pour Rire en direct and the popular Défilé des jumeaux, will be available on the same platforms.
