June 21, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3388 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1362 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4595 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Thursday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. OVERLAND STORAGE INC (NASDAQ:OVRL), NIKO RESOURCES LTD (OTC:NKRSF), L&L ENERGY INC (NASDAQ:LLEN), ZENN MOTOR CO INC (OTC:ZNNMF), GREAT WALL BUILDERS LTD (OTCBB:GWBU), (OTC:ASUV). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  OVRL $-0.710 -35.50% 342,982 28.01% 577,888 47.19% -234,906 -3,309
  NKRSF $-8.366 -39.46% 41,400 13.14% 73,909 23.46% -32,509 -39
  LLEN $-0.330 -15.28% 175,129 43.99% 222,952 56.01% -47,823 -1,449
  ZNNMF $-0.320 -30.48% 40,948 23.19% 123,902 70.18% -82,954 -2,592
  GWBU $-0.610 -42.96% 10,707,172 42.77% 13,349,049 53.32% -2,641,877 -43,309
  ASUV $-0.300 -24.59% 66,285 33.95% 71,293 36.52% -5,008 -167
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows OVRL with a dollar loss Thursday of $-0.71000 and a Friction Factor of -3,309 shares. That means that it only took 3,309 more shares of selling than buying to move OVRL lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
