June 20, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3874 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2644 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2802 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Wednesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Ethan Allen Interiors Inc (NYSE:ETH), BED BATH & BEYOND INC (NASDAQ:BBBY), FSI INTERNATIONAL INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:FSII), RED HAT INC (NYSE:RHT), NAUTILUS MINERALS INC (OTC:NUSMF), Alibaba.Com Ltd. (OTC:ALBCF). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  ETH $-2.430 -10.96% 488,185 28.52% 555,658 32.46% -67,473 -278
  BBBY $-8.470 -11.34% 2,180,528 47.84% 2,368,852 51.97% -188,324 -222
  FSII $-0.790 -17.79% 1,280,251 48.24% 1,368,720 51.57% -88,469 -1,120
  RHT $-7.050 -12.39% 1,330,116 29.31% 1,430,326 31.52% -100,210 -142
  NUSMF $-0.156 -11.35% 26,348 28.35% 47,320 50.92% -20,972 -1,346
  ALBCF $-0.460 -26.90% 28,301 42.89% 28,600 43.34% -299 -7
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows ETH with a dollar loss Wednesday of $-2.43000 and a Friction Factor of -278 shares. That means that it only took 278 more shares of selling than buying to move ETH lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
