May 7, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3801 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2741 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2957 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. INSMED INC (NASDAQ:INSM), NN Inc (NASDAQ:NNBR), CASCADE BANCORP (NASDAQ:CACB), DOMARK INTERNATIONAL INC (OTCBB:DOMK), China Information Tech Incorporated (NASDAQ:CNIT), (NASDAQ:CLIR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  INSM $1.400 51.85% 1,297,806 50.85% 1,239,742 48.58% 58,064 415
  NNBR $1.550 20.74% 275,588 58.57% 188,429 40.05% 87,159 562
  CACB $1.330 28.24% 32,976 54.54% 26,640 44.06% 6,336 48
  DOMK $1.450 81.46% 618,603 28.93% 276,987 12.95% 341,616 2,356
  CNIT $0.300 25.64% 422,747 56.88% 317,358 42.70% 105,389 3,513
  CLIR $1.910 25.67% 231,505 51.66% 177,251 39.55% 54,254 284
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows INSM with a dollar gain Monday of $1.40000 and a Friction Factor of 415 shares. That means that it only took 415 more shares of buying than selling to move INSM higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
