May 2, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3917 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2646 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2975 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Wednesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc (NASDAQ:GMCR), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), MATTEL INC (NYSE:MAT), Oracle Corp (NASDAQ:ORCL), IMAGING3 INC (OTCBB:IMGG), LPL INVESTMENT HOLDINGS INC (NASDAQ:LPLA). GMCR $-19.840 -39.89% 8,985,684 43.02% 11,757,849 56.30% -2,772,165 -1,397

  MAT $-0.050 -0.15% 1,687,864 30.14% 3,842,746 68.62% -2,154,882 -430,976

  LPLA $-1.000 -2.80% 3,159,434 39.45% 4,833,559 60.36% -1,674,125 -16,741
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GMCR down $-19.84000 with a Friction Factor of -1,397 and a Net Volume of -2,772,165. That means that it takes 1,397 more shares of selling than buying to drop GMCR by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
