April 20, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3615 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3565 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2234 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. PARKERVISION INC (NASDAQ:PRKR), RAMTRON INTERNATIONAL CORP (NASDAQ:RMTR), SOLOMON GOLD CORP (NASDAQ:SGOC), DIALOGIC INC (NASDAQ:DLGC), (NASDAQ:GEVA), (NYSE:DDMG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  PRKR $0.280 21.21% 781,157 60.05% 519,764 39.95% 261,393 9,335
  RMTR $0.290 15.00% 167,941 64.70% 91,108 35.10% 76,833 2,649
  SGOC $1.090 85.13% 1,154,412 51.60% 1,081,348 48.34% 73,064 670
  DLGC $0.430 47.78% 428,330 57.55% 315,614 42.41% 112,716 2,621
  GEVA $4.860 13.88% 91,562 58.39% 63,687 40.62% 27,875 57
  DDMG $1.150 17.97% 258,992 32.63% 225,176 28.37% 33,816 294
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PRKR with a dollar gain Friday of $0.28000 and a Friction Factor of 9,335 shares. That means that it only took 9,335 more shares of buying than selling to move PRKR higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
