April 13, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3553 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1727 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4217 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. FONAR CORP (NASDAQ:FONR), TranS1 Inc (NASDAQ:TSON), OSAGE EXPLORATION & DEVELOPM (OTCBB:OEDV), LIGHTWAVE LOGIC INC (OTCBB:LWLG), KINGOLD JEWELRY INC (NASDAQ:KGJI), China Information Tech Incorporated (NASDAQ:CNIT). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  FONR $0.400 11.83% 166,349 62.61% 99,322 37.39% 67,027 1,676
  TSON $0.410 12.28% 61,004 69.92% 26,245 30.08% 34,759 848
  OEDV $0.110 10.38% 280,422 78.88% 67,446 18.97% 212,976 19,361
  LWLG $0.190 17.27% 68,985 59.86% 33,205 28.81% 35,780 1,883
  KGJI $0.170 11.89% 224,375 72.17% 86,535 27.83% 137,840 8,108
  CNIT $0.250 22.25% 1,293,242 51.94% 1,195,781 48.02% 97,461 3,898
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FONR with a dollar gain Friday of $0.40000 and a Friction Factor of 1,676 shares. That means that it only took 1,676 more shares of buying than selling to move FONR higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
