April 12, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3510 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4389 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1809 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. SOUTHCOAST FINANCIAL CORP (NASDAQ:SOCB), ZOOM TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:ZOOM), MIPS TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:MIPS), BONSO ELECTRONICS INTL INC (NASDAQ:BNSO), SOLOMON GOLD CORP (NASDAQ:SGOC), TRUNKBOW INTERNATIONAL HOLDI (NASDAQ:TBOW). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SOCB $0.780 53.42% 91,736 53.69% 76,933 45.02% 14,803 190
  ZOOM $0.470 45.19% 1,077,333 65.48% 567,943 34.52% 509,390 10,838
  MIPS $1.340 25.72% 3,924,403 50.22% 3,770,505 48.25% 153,898 1,148
  BNSO $0.350 29.17% 71,953 61.55% 43,648 37.34% 28,305 809
  SGOC $1.820 249.32% 1,117,403 49.44% 1,116,878 49.41% 525 3
  TBOW $0.370 25.00% 196,031 60.16% 129,545 39.75% 66,486 1,797
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SOCB with a dollar gain Thursday of $0.78000 and a Friction Factor of 190 shares. That means that it only took 190 more shares of buying than selling to move SOCB higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
