April 11, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3668 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3921 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1991 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Cemex SAB de CV (NYSE:CX), WELLS FARGO & CO (NYSE:WFC), SANOFI-AVENTIS-ADR (NYSE:SNY), LVMH MOET HENNESSY-UNSP ADR (OTC:LVMUY), FANUC LTD-UNSP ADR (OTC:FANUY), (NASDAQ:QQQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CX $0.120 1.76% 5,119,648 39.36% 3,520,558 27.06% 1,599,090 133,258
  WFC $0.790 2.39% 9,182,214 31.48% 6,832,520 23.42% 2,349,694 29,743
  SNY $0.230 0.64% 3,339,468 48.44% 1,477,737 21.44% 1,861,731 80,945
  LVMUY $0.760 2.33% 1,811,436 96.46% 59,284 3.16% 1,752,152 23,055
  FANUY $1.390 4.93% 2,219,449 88.19% 213,887 8.50% 2,005,562 14,429
  QQQ $0.340 0.51% 31,580,483 51.71% 29,137,796 47.71% 2,442,687 71,844
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CX with a Net Buy Volume of 1,599,090 shares and a Friction Factor of 133,258 shares. That means that it takes 133,258 more shares of buying than selling to move CX higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
