April 2, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3582 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3870 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2113 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. WINNER MEDICAL GROUP INC (NASDAQ:WWIN), GOLDFIELD CORP (AMEX:GV), CENTRAL EUROPEAN MEDIA ENTERPRISES LTD (NASDAQ:CETV), DORAL FINANCIAL CORP (NYSE:DRL), VRINGO INC (AMEX:VRNG), (OTC:GDVXF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  WWIN $0.600 17.64% 68,623 51.64% 64,252 48.36% 4,371 73
  GV $0.230 23.84% 311,424 35.19% 244,406 27.62% 67,018 2,914
  CETV $1.380 19.41% 657,343 52.97% 576,743 46.47% 80,600 584
  DRL $0.320 20.78% 979,716 44.21% 655,900 29.60% 323,816 10,119
  VRNG $1.400 84.85% 5,926,239 33.34% 5,318,430 29.92% 607,809 4,341
  GDVXF $0.344 18.42% 53,540 51.67% 43,350 41.84% 10,190 297
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows WWIN with a dollar gain Monday of $0.60000 and a Friction Factor of 73 shares. That means that it only took 73 more shares of buying than selling to move WWIN higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
