March 30, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3813 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3040 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2820 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. COMCAST CORP-CLASS A (NASDAQ:CMCSA), ALTRIA GROUP INC (NYSE:MO), GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY (NYSE:GE), CISCO SYSTEMS INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:CSCO), Caesars Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ:CZR), CORNING INC (NYSE:GLW). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CMCSA $0.180 0.60% 4,211,784 38.44% 6,741,410 61.53% -2,529,626 Abnormal
  MO $0.280 0.90% 2,407,369 24.26% 4,637,443 46.74% -2,230,074 Abnormal
  GE $0.110 0.57% 10,178,729 25.46% 16,056,393 40.16% -5,877,664 Abnormal
  CSCO $0.120 0.57% 16,533,936 42.43% 22,408,726 57.51% -5,874,790 Abnormal
  CZR $0.900 6.50% 1,779,908 30.93% 3,943,766 68.54% -2,163,858 Abnormal
  GLW $0.040 0.25% 3,707,216 23.31% 6,849,058 43.06% -3,141,842 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Friday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CMCSA with 2,529,626 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.18000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
