March 22, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3777 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1741 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4073 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), SELECT MEDICAL HOLDINGS CORP (NYSE:SEM), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), NII HOLDINGS INC (NASDAQ:NIHD), LOCATION BASED TECHNOLOGIES (OTCBB:LBAS), ECOLOCAP SOLUTIONS INC (OTCBB:ECOS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SIRI $0.010 0.44% 7,719,133 59.05% 5,340,693 40.85% 2,378,440 2,378,440
  SEM $0.040 0.50% 893,091 75.08% 128,771 10.82% 764,320 191,080
  INTC $0.110 0.38% 15,384,700 59.94% 10,277,824 40.04% 5,106,876 464,261
  NIHD $0.080 0.47% 2,981,479 55.96% 2,338,959 43.90% 642,520 80,315
  LBAS $0.015 5.88% 910,538 79.00% 242,000 21.00% 668,538 445,692
  ECOS $0.014 540.00% 10,651,902 52.25% 9,732,591 47.75% 919,311 680,971
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SIRI with a Net Buy Volume of 2,378,440 shares and a Friction Factor of 2,378,440 shares. That means that it takes 2,378,440 more shares of buying than selling to move SIRI higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
