Market Maker Surveillance Report. PFE, SKS, VCSH, CBIS, ACNIQ, EVGI, Highest Net Buy Volume With Lowest Price Friction For Wed
February 22, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3651 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2396 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3469 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. PFIZER INC (NYSE:PFE), Saks Inc (NYSE:SKS), VANGUARD S/T CORP BOND ETF (NASDAQ:VCSH), CANNABIS SCIENCE INC (OTCBB:CBIS), American Community Newspapers Inc (OTC:ACNIQ), ECO VENTURES GRP INC (OTCBB:EVGI). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction PFE $0.120 0.57% 9,979,418 34.92% 6,721,814 23.52% 3,257,604 271,467 SKS $0.030 0.27% 1,975,813 43.65% 995,209 21.98% 980,604 326,868 VCSH $0.030 0.04% 1,224,815 90.59% 127,193 9.41% 1,097,622 365,874 CBIS $0.036 64.29% 35,281,519 57.87% 25,683,273 42.13% 9,598,246 2,666,179 ACNIQ $0.027 5,300.00% 3,588,663 66.12% 1,838,972 33.88% 1,749,691 660,261 EVGI $0.010 33.33% 1,464,923 75.55% 474,028 24.45% 990,895 990,895Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows PFE with a Net Buy Volume of 3,257,604 shares and a Friction Factor of 271,467 shares. That means that it takes 271,467 more shares of buying than selling to move PFE higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
