February 15, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4008 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2469 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3227 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Columbia Laboratories Inc (NASDAQ:CBRX), MASCO CORP (NYSE:MAS), NVIDIA CORPORATION (NASDAQ:NVDA), FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS CORP (NYSE:FTR), FANNIE MAE (OTC:FNMA), INNOLOG HOLDINGS CORP (OTCBB:INHC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CBRX $0.140 18.15% 2,151,247 66.43% 1,087,082 33.57% 1,064,165 76,012
     MAS $0.170 1.46% 3,601,092 36.47% 2,143,849 21.71% 1,457,243 85,720
     NVDA $0.010 0.06% 14,025,567 52.88% 12,468,942 47.01% 1,556,625 1,556,625
     FTR $0.250 6.16% 21,596,183 54.30% 18,176,150 45.70% 3,420,033 136,801
     FNMA $0.030 8.82% 11,231,692 59.90% 7,461,584 39.80% 3,770,108 1,256,703
     INHC $0.075 188.22% 3,061,851 64.43% 1,570,498 33.05% 1,491,353 198,582
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CBRX with a Net Buy Volume of 1,064,165 shares and a Friction Factor of 76,012 shares. That means that it takes 76,012 more shares of buying than selling to move CBRX higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
