January 24, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 3607 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3059 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2751 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC), EMC CORP/MASS (NYSE:EMC), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), Capstone Turbine Corp (NASDAQ:CPST), TERADYNE INC (NYSE:TER), CLEAN COAL TECHNOLOGIES INC (OTC:CCTC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     BAC $0.020 0.28% 87,036,490 39.06% 76,340,618 34.26% 10,695,872 5,347,936
     EMC $1.680 7.17% 18,036,183 31.85% 14,284,050 25.23% 3,752,133 22,334
     INTC $0.180 0.67% 32,021,864 55.09% 26,021,667 44.76% 6,000,197 333,344
     CPST $0.040 3.36% 3,525,132 65.63% 1,843,768 34.33% 1,681,364 420,341
     TER $0.200 1.24% 3,570,997 50.69% 2,029,220 28.81% 1,541,777 77,089
     CCTC $0.021 58.33% 10,128,456 74.43% 3,479,261 25.57% 6,649,195 3,166,283
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with a Net Buy Volume of 10,695,872 shares and a Friction Factor of 5,347,936 shares. That means that it takes 5,347,936 more shares of buying than selling to move BAC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
