Terraco Gold Closes Acquisition of Royalty Option on Spring Valley and US$5,000,000 Cash Infusion

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 23, 2011) -Terraco Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TEN) ("Terraco" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that further to its press release dated December, 21, 2011, the Company received TSX Venture Exchange approval of the transaction which has now been closed.

"Terraco is very pleased to have worked closely with both the royalty vendor and the strategic partner to close this three-way, win-win transaction. Terraco has the right to acquire a significant royalty on a Barrick-led gold project next to its Moonlight Project, solidified a US$5,000,000 cash infusion without diluting shareholder value and is now fully funded for its 2012 exploration activities," stated Todd Hilditch, President and CEO of Terraco.
