September 30, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4532 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1648 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4289 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ABERDEEN ASIA-PAC INCOME FD (AMEX:FAX), ALTRIA GROUP INC (NYSE:MO), SIRIUS XM RADIO INC (NASDAQ:SIRI), JOHNSON & JOHNSON (NYSE:JNJ), BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB CO (NYSE:BMY), (NASDAQ:FBNK). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     FAX $0.100 1.49% 2,473,059 47.47% 1,241,693 23.84% 1,231,366 123,137
     MO $0.370 1.40% 7,892,319 35.54% 6,662,685 30.00% 1,229,634 33,233
     SIRI $0.020 1.34% 41,098,370 54.08% 36,659,268 48.24% 4,439,102 2,219,551
     JNJ $0.210 0.33% 5,090,393 34.97% 3,116,248 21.41% 1,974,145 94,007
     BMY $0.390 1.25% 5,625,537 35.03% 4,063,804 25.30% 1,561,733 40,044
     FBNK $0.110 0.98% 1,519,249 76.84% 462,462 23.39% 1,056,787 96,072
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FAX with a Net Buy Volume of 1,231,366 shares and a Friction Factor of 123,137 shares. That means that it takes 123,137 more shares of buying than selling to move FAX higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
