September 7, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4156 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4795 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1721 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Wednesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. ENTREMED INC (NASDAQ:ENMD), VASCO DATA SECURITY INTL (NASDAQ:VDSI), SUTOR TECHNOLOGY GROUP LTD (NASDAQ:SUTR), PUDA COAL INC (OTC:PUDA), FEDERAL HOME LOAN MORTGAGE CORPORATION (OTC:FMCKK), (OTC:RDOIF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     ENMD $-0.180 -9.00% 71,054 41.09% 99,361 57.46% -28,307 -1,573
     VDSI $-0.930 -13.88% 670,999 45.58% 800,964 54.41% -129,965 -1,397
     SUTR $-0.140 -9.21% 76,273 48.43% 81,131 51.51% -4,858 -347
     PUDA $-0.200 -11.43% 160,111 22.27% 192,606 26.79% -32,495 -1,625
     FMCKK $-0.440 -12.61% 50,400 14.38% 300,000 85.62% -249,600 -5,673
     RDOIF $-0.153 -15.25% 61,500 47.99% 66,650 52.01% -5,150 -338
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows ENMD with a dollar loss Wednesday of $-0.18000 and a Friction Factor of -1,573 shares. That means that it only took 1,573 more shares of selling than buying to move ENMD lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
