July 5, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4258 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3375 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3112 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. REDIFF.COM INDIA LIMITED-ADR (NASDAQ:REDF), TEAMSTAFF INC (NASDAQ:TSTF), CHINA TECHFAITH WIRELESS-ADR (NASDAQ:CNTF), ENDEAVOUR SILVER CORP (NYSE:EXK), RXI PHARMACEUTICALS CORP (NASDAQ:RXII), Zalicus Incorporated (NASDAQ:ZLCS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     REDF $2.090 22.33% 1,583,970 55.80% 1,240,713 43.70% 343,257 1,642
     TSTF $0.360 36.36% 349,027 56.59% 267,697 43.41% 81,330 2,259
     CNTF $0.570 14.69% 462,323 53.55% 400,755 46.42% 61,568 1,080
     EXK $0.970 11.83% 1,032,734 31.42% 904,377 27.52% 128,357 1,323
     RXII $0.190 17.76% 2,526,944 53.21% 2,221,754 46.79% 305,190 16,063
     ZLCS $0.410 17.60% 2,700,106 56.61% 2,064,767 43.29% 635,339 15,496
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows REDF with a dollar gain Tuesday of $2.09000 and a Friction Factor of 1,642 shares. That means that it only took 1,642 more shares of buying than selling to move REDF higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
