As of December 31, 2009, it operated 89 long term acute care hospitals and 6 inpatient rehabilitation facilities in 25 states, as well as operated 4,233 available licensed beds. The Outpatient Rehabilitation segment operates clinics; and provides physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation services. This segment also offers medical rehabilitation services on a contract basis at nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living and senior care centers, schools, and worksites. As of December 31, 2009, it operated 961 outpatient rehabilitation clinics in 37 states and the District of Columbia. The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
