March 25, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 2652 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2936 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2129 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Friday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. WINDSTREAM CORP (NYSE:WIN), GENERAL ELECTRIC CO (NYSE:GE), CISCO SYSTEMS INC (NASDAQ:CSCO), INTEL CORP (NASDAQ:INTC), PROSHARES ULTRASHORT S&P500 (AMEX:SDS), 3DICON CORP (OTCBB:TDCP). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction

     GE $-0.020 -0.10% 15,251,658 38.30% 20,091,949 50.45% -4,840,291 -2,420,146
     CSCO $-0.080 -0.46% 24,337,260 44.88% 29,848,626 55.04% -5,511,366 -688,921
     INTC $-0.010 -0.05% 24,019,178 44.86% 29,501,582 55.10% -5,482,404 -5,482,404
     SDS $-0.180 -0.84% 10,109,496 43.92% 12,909,932 56.08% -2,800,436 -155,580
     TDCP $-0.026 -33.29% 19,365,621 43.37% 25,314,109 56.69% -5,948,488 -2,261,783
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows WIN down $-0.05000 with a Friction Factor of -388,552 and a Net Volume of -1,942,759. That means that it takes 388,552 more shares of selling than buying to drop WIN by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
