March 14, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 2544 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1715 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3750 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. GSE SYSTEMS INC (AMEX:GVP), CROSSHAIR EXPLORATION & MINI (AMEX:CXZ), PALADIN RESOURCES NL (OTC:PALAF), URANIUM ONE INC (OTC:SXRZF), UR-ENERGY INC (AMEX:URG), CANALASKA URANIUM LTD (OTCBB:CVVUF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     GVP $-0.610 -19.43% 193,813 35.61% 338,301 62.16% -144,488 -2,369
     CXZ $-0.400 -23.95% 703,758 43.10% 922,620 56.50% -218,862 -5,472
     PALAF $-1.182 -24.58% 318,891 23.47% 632,526 46.56% -313,635 -2,653
     SXRZF $-1.666 -27.27% 868,480 24.26% 1,085,847 30.34% -217,367 -1,305
     URG $-0.680 -27.09% 3,503,180 43.61% 4,145,184 51.61% -642,004 -9,441
     CVVUF $-0.290 -21.97% 34,300 22.53% 105,840 69.52% -71,540 -2,467
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GVP with a dollar loss Monday of $-0.61000 and a Friction Factor of -2,369 shares. That means that it only took 2,369 more shares of selling than buying to move GVP lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
