November 30, 2010 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 1113 companies with "abnormal" market making, 783 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1401 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. CLEARWIRE CORP-CLASS A (NASDAQ:CLWR), HCP INC (NYSE:HCP), ARIAD PHARMACEUTICALS INC (NASDAQ:ARIA), FOSSIL INC (NASDAQ:FOSL), FLEXTRONICS INTL LTD (NASDAQ:FLEX), CITIGROUP INC (NYSE:C). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CLWR $0.050 0.72% 3,693,355 81.35% 843,929 18.59% 2,849,426 569,885
     HCP $0.080 0.26% 6,062,535 71.00% 1,981,683 23.21% 4,080,852 510,107
     ARIA $0.080 2.03% 7,094,509 88.54% 917,416 11.45% 6,177,093 772,137
     FOSL $0.100 0.14% 2,703,795 86.02% 437,794 13.93% 2,266,001 226,600
     FLEX $0.120 1.76% 12,933,324 67.23% 6,271,901 32.60% 6,661,423 555,119
     C $0.060 1.42% 289,699,287 57.44% 201,371,478 39.92% 88,327,809 14,721,302

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows C with a Net Buy Volume of 88,327,809 shares and a Friction Factor of 14,721,302 shares. That means that it takes 14,721,302 more shares of buying than selling to move C higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
