Market Maker Surveillance Report. WAMKQ, ENA, IRE, AMRN, RBY, RITT, Winning Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Monday, Nove
November 29, 2010 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 2850 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2061 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3022 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Washington Mutual De (OTC:WAMKQ), ENOVA SYSTEMS INC (AMEX:ENA), BANK OF IRELAND-SPONS ADR (NYSE:IRE), AMARIN CORPORATION PLC -ADR (NASDAQ:AMRN), RUBICON MINERALS CORP (AMEX:RBY), RIT TECHNOLOGIES LTD (NASDAQ:RITT). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction WAMKQ $0.056 18.01% 78,191 64.00% 43,977 36.00% 34,214 6,110 ENA $0.200 19.61% 157,840 55.09% 100,376 35.03% 57,464 2,873 IRE $0.370 25.69% 26,233,583 47.85% 24,570,550 44.81% 1,663,033 44,947 AMRN $2.340 65.92% 21,371,078 52.28% 19,049,516 46.60% 2,321,562 9,921 RBY $1.520 34.31% 5,204,181 44.92% 4,724,531 40.78% 479,650 3,156 RITT $1.910 24.84% 133,297 58.25% 89,224 38.99% 44,073 231
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows RITT with a dollar gain Monday of $1.91000 and a Friction Factor of 231 shares. That means that it only took 231 more shares of buying than selling to move RITT higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
