Gleacher & Company Expands Investment Grade Fixed Income Group

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Gleacher & Company Securities, Inc., a broker-dealer subsidiary of Gleacher & Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: GLCH), today announced that David Pichler has joined the firm as Co-Head of the Investment Grade fixed income group. Mr. Pichler joins Michael Voelker, who joined the firm last year, to head the group. The firm also announced that William Parry has been named sales manager of the group, which includes Gleacher & Companya™s investment grade, hybrid and preferred securities efforts.

Mr. Pichler brings over 18 years of experience in sales, trading and management. Previously, he was Head of US Credit Trading at RBC Capital Markets. Prior to RBC, he was Co-Head of Global Credit Trading at Citigroup. Mr. Pichler received a B.A. degree in Economics from Dartmouth College in 1992.

Mr. Parry, who joined Gleacher & Company in August of 2008, brings over 25 years of experience in sales, trading and management. Prior to Gleacher & Company, he was Head of Fixed Income Trading at Hartford Investment Management. Previously, Mr. Parry was Head of Investment Grade Sales and, later, Head of New York Investment Grade Sales at Bank of America. Prior to Bank of America, he was Global Head of International Debt Syndicate at JP Morgan Chase and an Executive Director at UBS Securities, heading up both the Eurobond trading and International Syndicate areas of the firm. Mr. Parry received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Villanova University in 1982.
